Scenic - Sunrise through the lines

After two previous years of shooting in such a similar environment, it gets harder and harder to find original images. This was one example of how I turned a mundane subject (some lines coiled on a rail) into something interesting. All it took was a little bit of perseverance (waking up before sunrise) and once again, previsualizing the shot. After all, from where I was standing the sun wasn't shining right behind those lines... I had to crouch down and crawl around on the deck to find the right spot to place the sun behind the lines--just one of my many antics (see previous shot) I am quite sure the bridge crew found amusing.
