Scenic - Blue ice

Ice is far and away my favorite photographic subject. I snapped this image of broken up multi-year ice while everyone else was watching the two polar bears that were circling the ship. There's something about the pale bluish color that says to me "this is a cold, harsh place." The geometry of the ice floes is also fascinating. Wind and waves carve the broken floes into a myriad of shapes. Unfortunately, this ice field was really the only photogenic one we encountered on the whole trip...
